SUBJECT: “POC Project – Monitoring system with fibre optic sensors”.
WORK DESCRIPTION: PoC aimed at validating the distributed monitoring system with fibre optic sensors to be installed on gas pipelines. The system, installed on a section of pipeline under pressure at 5 bar and recreating real laying conditions, was validated according to two different aspects, i.e. “Strain monitoring” and “Leak detection”, in order to detect both the deformations of a pipeline as well as any leaks by means of a special software interface.
